Sterling Silver does tarnish over time. This is a normal chemical process that can be avoided by properly storing the item. The Sterling Silver items should be stored dry, in airtight containers or plastic bags. You can insert an anti-tarnishing strip if you have one.

The color of the tarnish can be golden or black and can be removed by cleaning with silver cleaner, soap, and water or with a polishing cloth. Please make sure you completely dry the item, before storing, if you used water for cleaning.
